The Real Star Power of The Black Sheep

I might be considered even more controversial for using the term black sheep these days and for more than one reason, but I’m using it anyway because when the black wool fits…

I’m one of those metaphorical black sheep people.  I’m even more of a black sheep than I used to be after “going public” with the discoveries we are sharing and our work here in pioneering this new field of alternative astronomy.  I think if you are into any “alternative” field of anything, that in itself will likely be enough to cast you into the black sheep lot, and it is no different with us being pioneers and explorers in the alternative astronomy field.

The terms “black sheep” and “scapegoat” are often used interchangeably, as the stories told about them are very similar sounding, so it may just be splitting wooly hairs in really trying to parse out the real differences between them. So hey if you like goats better than sheep…then do you, scapegoat, it’s cool with me.

Before we get in too deep here, I think it best if we first define what is a black sheep?

This is important to know for the purposes of our discussion about it here because I’m not talking about someone who is put outside of a family or a social circle of friends because that someone actually caused harm to others and that was at root for them being cast out from the group.

This means I’m not talking about, for just one instance, the dude everyone knows down at the bar, who has been pretty much fall down drunk for the past twenty years now, sitting there talking over his next drink about how he’s the black sheep of his family.  This is not an example of the star power of a real black sheep because that kind of dude at the bar is actually a lost sheep.  He’s not a black sheep because he has given up his power.

Real black sheep have real star power, but many real black sheep have no idea about it.

I know I had no idea about the real star power of the black sheep until I was well into my adult years and now here I am being all super-duper black sheep-y.  The thing is, I didn’t ever want to be the black sheep and certainly wasn’t looking for the black sheep label to put on myself and create an identity out of, even when I started to suspect that I was a black sheep.

For me this suspicion happened early, when I was just a small child, but I didn’t know about the term “black sheep” or what it was.  I just suspected that for some reason I couldn’t explain at the time, people in general treated me well…differently.

Why?  What was wrong with me?

These are questions that developed and would roam around the pasture of my mind for years while I was looking for the answers.  Years after that, I just tried not to let it bother me so much and just did my best to “get in where I fit in.”

The problem was I wasn’t really finding myself “fitting in” anywhere with any groups of people for very long.

Though it took many years for me to even be able to see myself for the fabulous black sheep kind of people that I am, once I embraced it and stopped fighting it was when I finally stepped into that real power, that star power every black sheep has.  It’s that kind of power I learned about that ONLY black sheep people have and I found it.  It’s why I’m talking abaaaat it today.

Black sheep people have the power to stand up and stand out in any crowd and for that reason will always be cast out from the crowd, by the crowd…every single time.

This tale might be as old as time.

One of the oldest known and most famous stories about the black sheep, or the scapegoat goes back to the Old Testament of The Bible of the Christian religion, or the Torah of the Jewish religion.

Those stories involve an entire religious tradition, centering around practices that seemingly went on for centuries and in some ways, still are.  We are told that in these traditions that the group of people would once a year get together and cast all of their burdens, short-comings, mistakes or sins upon a goat.  They would then send the goat out into the wilderness of the desert or off a high cliff in some stories.

Neither end is good for the goat who became the people’s “beast of burden”, ending up wandering lost out in the wilderness alone, or off a high cliff to his death.

We are told that the people did this with the belief that in casting all of their dirt on to the goat, their own slate would be wiped clean and they could stand all shiny clean and good before God again.

These are terrible stories, to offer my not-so-humble opinion on it, but I also know there is way more to these stories, and their real origin. I know there is much more than meets the eye behind where these stories really come from, and the why and how they became so famous.  But because of our current social climate, we have to save those kinds of discussions for our private videos.  If you are interested in learning more about the private videos that take a behind the scripts looks at these kinds of stories, like the Bibilcal scapegoat, you can follow the link at the end of this post to learn more.

So, back to what we can discuss “publicly” about all of this…

The traditional stories about the black sheep or the scapegoat and the way they are treated by groups of people isn’t good at all – being that no good end ever comes for the one the group scapegoated – whether it’s off a high cliff, or wandering around the desert alone.  Think the dude at the bar who has been drunk the last 20 years, thinking he found an oasis in the mirage being under the influence of alcohol causes. He’s still out there in the desert wilderness.

These stories became a part of our collective consciousness in a powerful way, having a felt impact even in the way groups of people treat individuals who dare to stand up to the group to this very day. However, there is a twist in this story and is a very recent one, I think.

In our modern day, I’m seeing a whole lot more black sheep or scapegoats breaking free from the group that cast them out to find a much better middle and end of their story.  The modern day black sheep or scapegoat is instead embracing their real star power they found along their cast-a-way travels and they are not afraid to use it.  Now that’s something different.

The black sheep or the scapegoat ever finding their real power is not the way the original story goes, but thankfully even if times don’t change, the modern day black sheep or scapegoats have.

Black sheep people are the people who hold the greatest power to actually create positive change in society and through the positive changes they made through themselves.

This real star power will only start to really shine when the black sheep completely lets go of the desire to be embraced by the group of white sheep who cast them out in the first place.

By the way, this has been no setting up for some parallel I’m going to bring in with a discussion about racism.  Don’t worry, you’re not going to be subjected again to such an overused topic of division and distraction. Being a black sheep or scapegoat doesn’t have a thing to do with our actual skin color.

The one quality that makes someone a real black sheep is simply that they are the truth teller of the group.  Black sheep people have all found out that truth teller quality of their’s is what is at the root of them being cast out from the crowd position they find themselves in.

Sure, you may hear a chorus of other sheep repeat one after another, that they all appreciate the truth and the most honest of sheep.  Yet it’s the black sheep that knows from past experience that most of those sheep are just saying what they think sounds good when they talk abaaaaat it the way they’ve heard all the other sheep do.  The black sheep knows those sheep don’t really mean it when they say they like the good honest sheep.

They only like the honest sheep when they are telling the truth about something they want to hear.  If it’s a truth they need to hear, but don’t want to hear…you can bet that it will be coming from a black sheep and no doubt it’s going to be the black sheep who dared to say it that will be cast out.

The first step is for the black sheep to find and start using their real star power in the way they were made to. It starts with accepting the fact that it is by their nature of being the truth teller that makes for something not wrong with them, but RIGHT with them that caused them to be cast out. Because of that, they will never receive the correct mirroring from these other sheep who cast them out.

If you are a black sheep, making this realization should make it easier to let go of your misplaced need of those white sheep to ever mirror back to you any validation that every one, including you as a black sheep needs.  As a black sheep you need to know that validation about who you really are will never come from them.

The next step is letting go of the fantasy, I think that every black sheep has, at least for awhile.  That fantasy is that one day, down the road, after being cast out, that those sheep who did that to you will wake up, realize their error, feel bad about what they did, come seek you out maybe, and welcome you back to the flock.

Here’s the truth and it’s why so many don’t like it…that’s a fantasy that is never going to happen.

Why not ?  Because you are a black sheep and that isn’t the path for which you were made.

The black sheep is too different to have ever felt the supposed wisdom of there being safety in numbers when they were made to stand out and end up being cast out.  The other sheep don’t want to stand out and they don’t want any other sheep around them standing out either.

The star power of the black sheep glows up to whole new levels once they actually embrace being cast out from the flock for what was right with them and let go of their fantasy of ever being truly loved and accepted by the same flock that cast them out.  Only then can a black sheep find the star power that has grown inside of them and use it wisely for the purpose they were made for.

The modern day black sheep can now put an whole new spin on the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” kind of idea when they find the spirit of a fierce, lone wolf that lives inside of them.  That wolf who is the subject of still other stories we all know so well.

So what’s the moral of this story then?  How does it end?  Am I trying to spin a wooly yarn with a warning at the end that you should be careful about casting out any black sheep because later that black sheep will shapeshift into the big, bad wolf and come back to “get even” with the flock?

Heavens, no…not the new end or the moral of this new story at all.  The new end for the black sheep or scapegoat that finds that fierce wolf spirit inside of them is just to tell the other sheep to flock off and do whatever truly great things their fabulous black sheep selves were made to do.

There is no way to predict what specifically is in store for you, but I know that all real black sheep were meant to walk the path of greatness, excellence, quality, individuality, truth and freedom.

The freedom to do and say what only a black sheep can is real star power and strength developed through having to on their own, stand up to the force of the entirety of the crowd going against them.  Ironically, it’s the only way this power is found for the black sheep and it’s not only for the black sheep’s betterment that they find it, it ends up bettering the whole flock even if the whole flock doesn’t know it.

As the black sheep, however, you must always remember to keep what you made better by yourself to yourself, unless you are in the company of another black sheep along your way.  Then there may be a chance that in that case, you can safely express who you really are to them without it causing any problem for them.  The truth is though, that you probably won’t have to explain it too much to them since both of you are just too much of a stand out for the other not to notice.

For more about what is really behind the script of the old black sheep and scapegoat stories and why there are so many famous stories that involve the anthropomorphizing of animals, like this story is, and how all of it connects to the enormous discoveries we made about the skies cycling day and night above all of our heads, follow this link to learn more, to get on our mailing list for more info about our private videos and to be notified of our future public posts like this one, too.

I know it’s rare to find anyone else who can actually speak the black sheep language, but now you know that we do and where to find us.  We know we would never have made the enormous discoveries about our world that we did if we didn’t walk the path of the black sheep that led to them and that led us to you to tell you about them…to be the black sheep truth tellers, telling the truth to you about what we found.  For us, that is in itself a big enough reason to be appreciative of the path that is required of every black sheep on their own individual road to greatness.  Although the black sheep or scapegoat path is probably the most difficult to take, there is no other way to develop and use the real star power for which every black sheep was made.  If nothing else, I hope to inspire you to remember that along your way.

Baaaa for now, black sheep.  Until next time, stay lit and be well,
